ZAMBIA:
A NEW DAWN
OUR PRIORITIES
-
CREATING JOBS
The New Dawn government is recruiting 30,000 additional teachers and 11,276 health workers.
We know the private sector is the best engine for job creation, so we provided support for small businesses in the 2022 budget, as well as tax incentives to encourage both new and existing investors.
-
EMPOWERING YOUTHS
Under the New Dawn government primary and secondary education are free and thousands of university bursaries have been funded using money recovered through our anti-corruption efforts.
The New Dawn government has so far allocated K5 million for youth empowerment programs through the Constituency Development Fund (CDF), which has been increased to K25.7 million per constituency
-
FIGHTING CORRUPTION
Since the New Dawn government took office, numerous officials have been arrested including several connected to the Mukula and HoneyBee scandals.
Funds recovered from anti-corruption cases have so far been used to fund over 2,000 university bursaries.
